Privacy notice

Hazard Hero is run by Co-Pilot Group Limited, which is the data controller for the information you give us. Contact: james@co-pilot.org.

What we collect

• Your first name and email address, so we can run the monthly prize draw and contact winners.
• Your postcode, which we use once to check Hazard Hero is available in your area. We keep only the first half (for example CT16) and the council area it falls in.
• How you play: which hazards you spot or miss, how quickly you react, your answers and your score. This helps us improve the game and helps road safety teams understand what new drivers find hardest.
• If you tick the box, your permission to email you about Hazard Hero and road safety news.

If your postcode is outside a member area, we don't keep your name or email - we only count that someone in that council area tried to play.

Who sees it

Road safety teams in member areas see anonymous, area-level statistics only - never your name or email. We never sell or pass your details to anyone else.

How long we keep it

We keep your details for two years after you last play, then delete them. You can ask us to delete them sooner, or to see what we hold, by emailing james@co-pilot.org.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to object to how we use it, and to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
